Mrs. Eleni Koliopoulos
Good Morning 4th Grade Students and Families,
I hope everyone is doing well, and staying healthy and safe. Know that I miss seeing and teaching you all very much. As a reminder I will send out a weekly plan for you to work on. If you do not have access to a printer, please complete the work on loose leaf paper or in a notebook. You can bring your completed assignments to me when we return, or send them through class dojo/email. This week’s focus in reading will be to make inferences as you read. Please do this with everything you are reading. An inference requires the reader to use information (clues) from the text and what you already know to figure out something the author did not tell you or you have not read yet. Continue to read the next story in our nonfiction mystery unit about Bigfoot! I cannot wait to see what inferences are made in the text. Please complete the reading activities listed below;
Please email me at [email protected] or message me through Class Dojo with any questions! Don’t forget to share school spirit photos on Warrior Wednesday :) Have a great week! Ms. Lemberis Good Morning 4th Grade Students and Families,
Each week I will send out a weekly overview of topics to focus on in Reading and Math! This week’s focus in reading will be to identify the main idea and key details as you read. Please do this with everything you are reading. The main idea of a passage is what the passage is mostly about. The key details in a passage support the main idea. We will also continue our mystery unit and read a nonfiction mystery about the Loch Ness Monster! In addition to reading your independent reading book, please complete the following activities;
We will focus on division this week in Math. You will divide numbers using partial quotients and/or long division. Please reference the following videos to help you with partial quotients and long division. You can practice dividing numbers on IXL (https://www.ixl.com/math/grade-4). In addition, please complete the following math journal pages 6.6-6.8 –https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-s_W8_6SC6bY8QFmbqsIzzHLPYKv965l_pV5YdSfvn4/edit?usp=sharing
