Notes and Reminders:
12/14 Weekly Overview of Assignments In Reading students will choose and read a biography of their choice. Students will create a timeline including important events about that person. Students will have the week to work on the timeline and present their timelines during reading class at the end of the week. Students will continue reading and studying biographies in their guided reading groups. In Writing students will continue writing opinion essays! This week students will use the article, “Should kids have to go to school on a snow day?,” to write an essay about their opinion on the topic. This week in Math we will begin Unit 4- Multidigit Multiplication. Students will find a rule for solving multiplication problems involving multiples of 10, make estimates and evaluate reasonableness of their answers, and solve multiplication problems by partitioning rectangles. This week students will rotate through some fun mystery science mini lessons and read current events! They will also complete fun and festive activities during Science and Social Studies time.
