Hello Room 209 Students and Families, I hope everyone is having a nice week ! Notes and Reminders
Weekly Overview of Assignments This week in reading we will focus on identifying the main idea and supporting details as we read. Students will identify the main idea as we read the class novel, Sammy Keyes and the Hotel Thief, and during small group reading time. The class will also identify elements of mysteries and make inferences as we read a new Tales of Tommy True weekly mystery story! In Writing we will continue with the Unit- Responding to a Prompt. Students will use the two articles about wolves and lynxes read last week to write an essay comparing and contrasting the key details in the articles. Students should also identify ways endangered animals can be helped. Later in the week we will start reading articles paired with the next prompt about Wild Horses in America.
