Hello 4th Grade Students and Families,
I hope everyone had a lovely Mother’s Day weekend! Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers and special women in your lives. News/Reminders
Below is an outline of this week's assignments for Reading, Math, and Science! Reading This week students will study Dramas/Plays. Drama/Play stories can be acted out in front of people or an audience. This week students will read and work with a scene from the story Alice in Wonderland. Students should review and think about the following elements as they read dramas/plays;
Math Students should be practicing math 20-30 minutes a day. They can work on Khan Academy Lessons or on the ¨PDF Math Activities¨ posted in google classroom. This week I will post journal pages and Home Links from Everyday Math lessons 7.12 to 7.13. During those lessons students will practice converting between fractions and decimals to solve numbers stories, and solve multistep problems involving data and line plots. I have also assigned new decimal lessons and division practice on Khan Academy this week. Science This week students will begin building and creating their inventions for the Invention Convention. Over the past couple weeks students have done an excellent job brainstorming, planning, and designing ideas for their inventions! Students' inventions will be due on May 22. We will have a virtual Invention Convention the last week of May. Instructions and expectations are posted on google classroom. I will not be assigning a Mystery Science Investigation this week or next to give students time to work on their inventions. I will continue to post an optional science reading. Please email or message me with any questions. Have a great week! Ms. Lemberis
