Math Assignments/ Information Students should continue to practice math 20-30 minutes a day. They can work on Khan Academy Lessons or on the ¨PDF Math Activities¨ posted in google classroom. This week I will post journal pages and Home Links from Everyday Math lessons 8.4-8.6.During these lessons students will identify lines of symmetry, solve real-world problems involving data and line plots, and find the perimeter of shapes with fractional side lengths. As mentioned last week this unit is complex and brings everything students have studied together. It will be challenging. I encourage students to try these lessons, and do their best. I will post the answers to the Math Journal pages at the end of each week. In addition, I have assigned a new Khan Academy unit on Plane Figures! Students will complete lessons focusing on; parallel and perpendicular lines, classifying triangles and geometric shapes, and line(s) of symmetry. Science Assignments/ Information This week students will finish building and creating their inventions for the Invention Convention. All projects are due this Friday (5/29).
